ICD Advisor inflow control device planning software supports completion designs aimed at recovery optimization through the use of inflow control devices (ICDs). It is implemented as a plug-in for the and uses the to predict the dynamic well response for a given ICD completion design.
Several workflows are available for using existing reservoir models and LWD logs in a fit-for-purpose approach to reservoir description around the wellbore. A customized set of output plots is available to efficiently evaluate multiple completion scenarios.
The software provides the following recommendations for achieving a balanced flow rate or drawdown:
- location and number of packers
- number of ICDs in each partition
- ICD nozzle sizes in each partition.
