The Reda™ Maximus Eon™ extended-life, install-ready ESP motor is designed for easy adoption and implementation, supporting your emissions reduction goals. Of the hundreds of thousands of ESPs currently operating in oil and gas, geothermal, mining, and other sectors, the majority use induction motor technology and associated surface equipment. However, the optimized electromagnetic design of the Maximus Eon motor delivers a minimum of 3.5% greater electrical power efficiency compared with previous-generation motors, directly reducing energy consumption and Scope 1 or Scope 2 emissions. In addition, the new electromagnetic-optimized geometry boosts horsepower by 33% per unit length and reduces motor length by up to 40%.

Because of its unique and robust induction motor design, the Maximus Eon motor operates seamlessly with any type of legacy surface equipment for ESP applications without the need for infrastructure changes or upgrades, enabling a flawless and easy transition.

Maximus Eon motors are part of our Transition Technologies™ portfolio and full field development solutions that sustainably drive high performance.

  • Onshore and offshore wells
  • Conventional and unconventional applications
  • Extreme weather conditions
  • Reduces opex by decreasing power consumption
  • Increases flexibility in the string position and eliminates tandem configurations because the motor is 40% shorter than that of previous generations
  • Boosts horsepower by 33% per unit length compared with previous-generation motors
  • Reduces costly NPT and enables early ESP startup through factory preparation and filling and streamlined installation
  • Enables real-time downhole monitoring and control to improve performance and extend lifetime
  • Reduces CO2 emissions by up to 86 metric tons per well per year
  • Motor OD: 4.56 in [115.8 mm]
  • Two-pole, three-phase squirrel-cage induction motor
  • New electromagnetic-optimized geometry, enabling up to 40% shorter motor length and 33% increased horsepower per unit length than previous-generation induction motors
  • Up to 450 hp per motor
  • Temperature-sensing device to enable real-time monitoring of motor-winding temperature
  • MaxJoint™ ESP flange connection, ensuring reliable motor and protector connections with a leak-tight seal
  • MaxLok™ ESP quick-plug motor lead extension, simplifying pothead-to-motor connection

Delivering 85.2% electrical power efficiency, the Reda Maximus Eon extended-life, install-ready ESP motor directly reduces energy consumption, supporting emissions reduction goals across a range of industrial sectors.

* The performance improvement is based on a 540-hp motor configuration and in comparison with previous-generation induction motor technology. Calculations are based on a run life of 365 days with 100% uptime and take into consideration efficiency losses of the power cable, variable frequency or variable speed ESP drive, and transformer. The conversion from electricity to CO2 is based on the  reference of 485.30 g of CO2/kW.h.

** The potential CO2 savings per year per well are equivalent to eliminating emissions from 216,135 miles [347,835 km] driven by an average passenger vehicle, as determined using the Environmental Protection Agency’s .
